PASSENGER SEAT

I went back to WV this weekend.

A girl came up to me while I was out in public and asked me if I Sophie Eastone. I laughed a little and said yes. She then told me she loved my music, especially Passenger Seat. 

I teared up a little. I have no idea who that young girl was but she reminded me of the joy my own music gives me. 

Sometimes I really hate my demo. It caused more drama and heartache for me than I would've ever imagined. Between The Lines was naive little Sophie just having fun, but it turned into this nightmare I feel often. 

This little girl, she brought the joy back. 

It was so cool. She and her friend were excited to meet me. They didn't ask who the songs were about. They didn't know the drama I had to endure. They liked the music that I wrote. 

I wish I knew who those girls were because I wish I could thank them. I wish I could thank them for being the good in the world. 

Even at 18 we sometimes need little reminders that we are good enough.
