sometimes when I look in the mirror 
I don’t recognize my face
I ask my self who is this girl 
standing in my place 
fake it till I make it 
but I feel like I’m about to break 
if everyone calls me little miss sun shine
why don’t I feel that way 


can somebody tell me I’ll be okay 
the rain bow comes after the rain 
Can’t let them see the broken in me 
so I’ll just keep pretending

chalk it up to growing pains 


would that little girl in picture be proud of who I become 
would she be sad I stopped with Barbie’s now I just wanna  look like one 
scarped knees turn into broken hearts 
and dreams into anxious thoughts 
paint a smile while I put on a show 
for the perfect frame I’m faking
